Goal of the position:
Decrease the time needed to get feedback on new releases and guarantee sufficient level of maturity before sharing a release with Product validation team
Activities:
• Manual testing on electrical meters, mainly on projects related to products
• Exploratory testing on new features implemented
• Sanity checks testing on releases before sharing with Product validation team
• Execution of automated testing, if available (e.g. DMTT) and provided by Product validation team, to speed up the feedback on the release
• High-level analysis of issues found during testing phases and follow-up through JIRA tickets
• Ramp-up on electrical meters features (breaker, time of use, relays, HMI,...), communication profiles (P2P, RS485, PLC, WMBUS,...) and customer specific features
• Ramp-up on tools (e.g. Viewer) and equipments (Amarisoft, IMST,...)
• Setup meters in field/customer-like environment, e.g. by connecting meters to external tools or equipments (Viewer on PC, frames analyzer, network simulator, gateways)
• Support the development team in their early testing
• Identification of potential enhancements on test duration and/or automation
Skills
• Manual testing
• Strong understanding of Test Plan, Test Execution, Test Case
• Test Case writing
• Ability to address new topics on both functional and technical levels
• Ability to identify key points in implemented features to define relevant testing (edge cases, robustness,...)
• Ability to synthetize
• Ability to analyze technical information from external suppliers
